I would guess that Macaris is a quintessential example of the post-war British ice cream parlour/cafe. Most of the decor seems to be original, including the plastic coated booths that are probably just a bit too small for the more sizeable patron of today. Let's hope it stays this way for as long as possible. Macaris is in Eastbourne.
