I really like the effect of a wide angle lens when used close up. To get this shot I had to hold the camera above my head and hope for the best. It turned out quite well I think.

A set of photographs by Ryan McGinley. I've found that one consequence of looking at lots of photography is that I'm less easily impressed. This set, however, is terrific. Most of the photos are full of movement and energy, and they come across as completely naturalistic and uncontrived. There's a fair amount of nudity though, so if you're not keen on the body beautiful...
