ILLUMINATED FOLIAGE - 23-05-08

<<< previous next >>>

5D, 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM

I've finally splashed out on a telephoto zoom lens , completing my line-up of zooms. This is from my first outing with the lens, a short walk in local woods one lunchtime. This foliage (beech?) was growing by the side of a woodland pond and was in shade, apart from a few patches of light coming through the trees. This was one of those rare shots - at least for me - when you instantly have a clear and specific idea of how it will turn out once processed.

He Took a Polaroid Every Day Until He Died. A great story. The links to the actual website with all the shots can be found right at the end.
