A selection of snaps from Cardiff. The much touted waterfront area didn't quite live up to expectations. Considering the number of important buildings on the waterfront the area was strangely quiet. Perhaps this was due to the signage which was practically non-existent. Although we parked in what turned out to be the nearest car park, we had no idea quite how near we were to the action and there were no signs to help. There was a city centre map in the car park lobby, but seeing as the waterfront is nowhere near the city centre it was rather superfluous. As you can see, this set includes a photo of a duck and of a Carpenters 'Best of' album. A photographic first perhaps? Elsewhere, FOTO8 have an interview with Andreas Gursky, who holds the record for highest price paid at auction for a single photographic image. His print 99 Cent II, Diptych, sold for GBP 1.7 million at Sotheby's. And a blog recommendation. eyecurious is a blog written by Marc Feustel about photography and all thing related. |
